WOODLAND MIRROR SILVER BIRCH SCULPTURE


This Woodland Sconce Mirror Sculpture has been individually handcrafted from Silver Birch, showing lovely grain markings it has been hand waxed and varnished. The mirror glass has been inserted, pinned and taped for a lovely finish. The mirror is ready to hang. Numbered and signed by the artists.

"Silver Birch also known as "Betula verrucosa" The word birch is thought to have derived from the Sanskrit word bhurga meaning a 'tree whose bark is used to write upon. In early Celtic mythology, the birch came to symbolise renewal and purification, the Celtic birch is the first tree of the Ogham, the Celtic tree alphabet."
